About the course
The Approved Prior Learning Certificate (APL) designed specifically by Gas Logic Certification. This new training scheme approved by the HSE and Gas Safe for the individuals having the associated industry experiences or participating in gas work, but do not hold any formal qualifications. By achieving the Approved Prior Learning Certificate, candidates will be able to attain their ACS qualifications that lead to Gas Safe registration in a short period.

Alpha Building Services & Engineering Training (Alpha BSE) is a Logic Certification Approved ACS assessment centre. We provide dedicated study environment and assessment centre with the best facilities and equipment.

Burner Pressure - Gas Rate and Combustion
Theory - An in-depth theory training course covering GSIUR legislation, standards and other aspects of gas safety theory to include various relevant gas calculations - flues and ventilation tests etc.
Practical - Carrying out various practical tasks which will give the candidate a robust understanding of the typical appliance types and scenarios involving appliances to allow the candidate sufficient knowledge and skills to work safely.
Good to be ‘on-site’
To carry out under the guidance of qualified Gas Safe registered engineers, intense solid work experience and training, whilst accompanying a service engineer or installer who will be acting as a work mentor will allow the candidate to carry out range of works on a variety of appliances allowing for differing manufacturers and models. By accompanying the candidate, the engineer will note if the candidate has learnt the tasks taught during the centre based training sufficiently.
