The course is designed to provide basic painting and decorating skills for those seeking employment in the multi-trade with no previous experience or knowledge in this job sector. This course demonstrates the right procedure from project preparation to the finishing of the job.

• Understand painting tools and equipment
• Project inspection and site work preparation
• Painting a timber window frame
• Applying emulsion to wall by roller
• Painting doors and frames
• Applying oil based paint to walls by roller
• Rust removal and priming metal
• Applying paint by spraying
• Introduction to glazing for painting and decorating
• Clean tools, equipment and work area

• 5 weeks, 1 day a week
• 5 days intensive

You may be eligble to study towards City & Guilds Construction Basic Skills Level 1 and Level 2.
