Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating
The Logic Certification/IDHEE Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating Certificate is designed for the professional heating installer and engineers who works in domestic properties. The certificate will demonstrate your competence aiming to satisfy industry requirements. It is recognised by CORGI, the Energy Savings Trust and the Energy Efficiency Partnership for Homes.
By completing the course, the candidates will be able to:
- Provide a practical framework to promote energy efficiency options to consumers.
- Ensure holders of the qualification have knowledge and understanding of practical solutions to improve energy efficiency performance.
- Ensure holders of the qualification have knowledge of legislative and other drivers which support energy efficiency.
By completing the course, the candidates will be able to:
- Domestic Heating by Oil: Boiler Systems (CE29).
- Domestic Heating by Gas: Boiler Systems (CE30).
- Whole House Boiler Sizing Method for Houses and Flats (CE54).
- Central Heating System Specifications (CHeSS) Year 2005.
By completing the course, the candidates will be able to:
- On-Line training and revision will be given to the candidates to prepare for the assessment.
- The assessment consists of multi-choice questions, for which the candidates can refer to the training package manuals.
This course is delivered under intensive one day mode training.
All candidates successful passing the examination will be awarded the Logic Certification/IDHEE Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating.
This qualification is relevant to the professional heating installer and engineers who works in domestic properties.
The candidate should meet one of the following requirements:
- Appropriate NVQ Level 3/BTEC or equivalent qualification.
- Accreditation and recognition of skills through and appropriate industry registration scheme, such as CORGI-ACS, OFTEC - 105E, UKAS.
- At least two years industry experience in the installation of domestic heating and hot water systems, currently un-certificated skills equivalent to NVQ Level 3.
- At least two years industry experience in the provision of design and advice services for domestic heating and hot water systems at MVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
