The course has been designed by City & Guilds to support the government initiative towards the National Qualification Framework. It contributes towards the knowledge and understanding required for the related N/SVQ while not requiring or providing evidence of occupational competence.

The course covers the following topical areas:

• Complex system installation of Hot and Cold water
• Complex system installation of Heating
• Heating system design
• Customer Care
• Gas Safety and appliances
• Fault identification and rectification

The course is made up of:

• Two multiple choice papers (301 & 302) which are marked internally according to the marking criteria, with quality assurance monitoring by City & Guilds external verification system.

The course is for candidate who:

• are following apprenticeship programmes.
• Who do and do not have access to an N/SVQ.
• Wish for career progression within the H&V industry.
• You have passed the Level 2 certificate in H&V.

• 44 weeks, 2 evenings/week
