About the Course

The course is primarily designed for practising electricians with a working knowledge of the 16th edition of the BS7671 and who have already achieved a qualification addressing BS7671 June 2001 (2381).

Course Content

The course is intended to ensure that candidates are conversant with the format, contents and application of the current edition of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: 2008 (17th Edition).

Course Aims

The aims of the course are to:

  • meet the needs of candidates who work in the Building Services Engineering Sector, such as Electricians, and those who need to demonstrate the knowledge of the IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • update candidates with additions and changes to BS7671 since the last edition
  • act as an update certificate from 16th to 17th edition

Assessment and Quality Assurance

The course is made up of 1 multiple-choice on-line test.

Entry Requirements

The course is for candidates who have achieved the following qualifications which address the requirements for BS7671:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671 June 2001 (2381)
