City & Guilds 7597 Railway Engineering Apprenticeship Level 2

 

About the course


 
This qualification is a fully funded Apprenticeship programme for 16-18 year olds. The certificate provides you with sufficient knowledge, understanding and practical skills to introduce you to the railway industry and develop your abilities to carry out engineering tasks including permanent way renewals, traction and rolling stock maintenance, electrification and plant maintenance and signal installation.
There is no requirement for entry qualification however if the applicant have GCSE A-C in English and Maths then there isn’t a requirement to achieve the Key Skills.                      
 
 
Course content

 
·         Key Skills Level 1
·         Certificate in Rail Engineering Underpinning Knowledge
·         NVQ in Railway Engineering
The programme combines both training and work placement. Alpha BSE will employ the students during the training programme.

6 months, 3 days per week
