The NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Domestic Heating is a qualification that will help learners progress as a plumber or heating engineer in residential properties.
Course content
Understand and carry out safe working practices in building services engineering
Understand how to apply environmental protection measures within BSE
Understand and carry out site preparation, and pipework fabrication techniques for domestic plumbing and heating systems
Hot water and cold water supply and installation
Central heating system installation and maintenance techniques
Domestic rainwater system installation and maintenance techniques
Above ground drainage system installation and maintenance techniques
Apply safe working practices in building services engineering working environment
Install and maintain domestic plumbing and heating systems
Install and maintain domestic heating systems
Duration
12 months, 2 days per week
