The NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Domestic Heating is a qualification that will help learners progress as a plumber or heating engineer in residential properties.
 
 
Course content

 
  • Understand and carry out safe working practices in building services engineering
  • Understand how to apply environmental protection measures within BSE
  • Understand and carry out site preparation, and pipework fabrication techniques for domestic plumbing and heating systems
  • Hot water and cold water supply and installation
  • Central heating system installation and maintenance techniques
  • Domestic rainwater system installation and maintenance techniques
  • Above ground drainage system installation and maintenance techniques
  • Apply safe working practices in building services engineering working environment
  • Install and maintain domestic plumbing and heating systems
  • Install and maintain domestic heating systems
